چکیده
This work presents an alternative formulation of resolvent analysis based on the calculus variations. The proposed circumvents reliance inversion linear operator and is inherently compatible with any arbitrary choice norm. Several examples are presented which highlight analytical numerical advantages limitations formulation.

Some resolvent methods for general variational inclusions
osting by E Abstract In this paper, we consider and analyze some classes of resolvent-splitting methods for solving the general variational inclusions using the technique of updating the solution. These resolvent-splitting methods are self-adaptive-type methods, where the corrector step size involves the resolvent equation. We prove that the convergence of these new methods only require the pse...
متن کاملResolvent Operator Method for General Variational Inclusions
In this paper, we introduce a new class of variational inclusions involving three operator. Using the resolvent operator technique, we establish the equivalence between the general variational inclusions and the resolvent equations. We use this alternative equivalent formulation to suggest and analyze some iterative methods for solving the general variational inclusions. We also consider the cr...

In this paper, we introduce and consider a new system of extended general variational inclusions involving eight different operators. Using the resolvent operator techniques, we show that the new system of extended general variational inclusions is equivalent to the fixed point problem. We prove the strong convergence of some new explicit iterative parallel algorithms using resolvent methods un...
متن کاملSurface Diffusion of Graphs: Variational Formulation, Error Analysis, and Simulation
Surface diffusion is a (4th order highly nonlinear) geometric driven motion of a surface with normal velocity proportional to the surface Laplacian of mean curvature. We present a novel variational formulation for graphs and derive a priori error estimates for a time-continuous finite element discretization. We also introduce a semi-implicit time discretization and a Schur complement approach t...
